At least 10 people were injured, including a mother and her baby, when a car ran up on a sidewalk and rammed through a bus stop in Brooklyn on Saturday, the authorities said.
The mother and her baby, who were not identified, were in “very critical” condition, a police spokesman said.
The police said the car was driving north on Utica Avenue close to the intersection with Church Avenue around 6:50 p.m. when it swerved to avoid hitting another car sitting in traffic, the police said. The car drove through a bus pavilion and then into some scaffolding, the police said.
The driver of the vehicle and her nephew suffered minor injuries, as did at least six other pedestrians, the police said. There was no immediate information about charges.
